NCAA Men's Soccer Games To Watch This Week Oct.16-Oct.22

FloFC is broadcasting college soccer matches from NCAA Divisions I, II and III all season long, with each week bringing a new, exciting slate of matchups to check out from its partner conferences.

Here’s a look ahead at the games to watch for the week ahead in the BIG EAST, CAA, GLIAC, SAC and Landmark Conference:

BIG EAST: St. John’s Vs. Georgetown

Postseason time is fast approaching in college men’s soccer, and it’s no different in the BIG EAST, where the race to make and/or strengthen your standing in the expanded eight-team Men’s Soccer Championship field is heating up. The Hoyas and Red Storm each know all about that—GU could wrap up the East Division crown this week if results go its way, and beating the Red Storm (currently third in the East) would help the Hoyas attain their goal.

CAA: Drexel Vs. Hofstra

Speaking of upcoming conference tournaments, the CAA is taking shape as Stony Brook and the Dragons have each clinched spots, but third-placed Hofstra is next up to seal the deal and book its ticket. With a top-two seed—and a crucial first-round bye for the CAA Men’s Soccer Championship—on the line in this one, don't expect either team to give an inch.

SAC: Wingate Vs. Tusculum

Welcome Wingate, to the United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25 poll, with the Bulldogs rocketing themselves up from unranked to No. 14 when they took down then-No. 4 Limestone on Oct. 4 amid an ongoing five-match unbeaten streak. Tusculum won’t be an easy team to beat, however, the Pioneers drew Limestone 1-1 three days after Wingate’s win and are 7-3-3 on the year, recently finding form thanks to four matches unbeaten (including a 7-0 rout of Emory & Henry this past Wednesday).

Landmark: Drew Vs. Scranton

It’s easy to point out Drew’s game this Saturday against Landmark-leading Lycoming as being the more important fixture, but it won’t matter much if the Rangers can’t get past Scranton, which at 7-2-4 is much stronger than its current seventh-place spot in the conference standings suggests. Considering only the top six teams in the league make the Landmark Men’s Soccer Championship, though, getting a win against Drew to move up the table will be especially important for the Royals.
