NCAA Men's Soccer Games To Watch Oct. 30 - Nov. 5
Here’s a look ahead at the games to watch for the week ahead in the CAA, SAC and Landmark Conference.
FloFC is broadcasting college soccer matches from NCAA Divisions I, II and III all season long, with each week bringing a new, exciting slate of matchups to check out from its partner conferences.
Here’s a look ahead at the games to watch for the week ahead in the CAA, SAC and Landmark Conference:
CAA: Drexel Vs. Delaware
It’s conference tournament time in the CAA, and by this time next week, the finalists will be confirmed as top seeds Hofstra and Monmouth will play quarterfinal victors in the semifinal round after earning byes. The opener of the CAA Men’s Soccer Championship should be a cracker; the Dragons and Blue Hens played to a 3-3 thriller in early October after UD’s TJ Hastings scored an 89th-minute equalizer. Are similar heroics in store in the rematch?
SAC: Mars Hill Vs. Limestone
Both teams need a win in this game, and for different reasons. With the quarterfinals of the SAC Tournament slated to begin Saturday, Wednesday is the final day of the regular season; though Limestone is locked into the No. 2 seed, a strong performance to close the show and set the tone for the postseason would help. The ninth-placed Lions, meanwhile, are just outside the eight-team cutline to qualify for the postseason and need to pass Tusculum (whom they trail by a point in the conference standings) to sneak into the tourney.
Landmark: Moravian Vs. Drew
The Landmark is going with a rapid-fire pace for its conference tournament, starting things off hot Tuesday with the first round while the title game is scheduled to be held Saturday. Stick around FloFC for further developments as the bracket goes along, but the most intriguing of the opening-round matchups at least appears to be the 4-5 showdown between the Greyhounds and Rangers, with Drew winning the first matchup 3-0 back on Oct. 10.
